The song was made by Ruth B. It's about a person using fairy tales to escape reality. The video it self is amazing and completely suits the song. 127 HOURS
This film is about a mountain climber getting trapped by a fallen boulder. Within in this adventure he must deal with isolation, extremes weather condition. The mountain climber Aron Ralston's relives and examines his life and stars to discover all of his weaknesses and pains, but also recalls the positives and amazing experiences he has had. The film uses creative shots, has great acting, astonishing mise-en-scene and a compelling story.
District 9
District 9 is a fiction documentary that first appears to be about alien arriving at Earth and how they are being treated and portrayed. Then it becomes about a man slowly turning into a alien and what he had to deal with and do. I like this documentary as is deals with modern day issues and shows how your prospective would shift if you where put in the opposite side. The documentary deal with racism, equality, lies and lives and manages to pull it all together to create ad perfect documentary. The special effects and CGI of the production is amazing, the shots taken where unique and stylised, using thing like CTVs and camcorders, and sound effect are spot on and fitted the alien unknown style. Task Briefs
For A2 there are many briefs to choose from. For me I decided to narrow down the list by creating a simple tick box of what I wanted out of my production: visuals - I want visual as it was one of the weakest part of my AS production Story - I like the ability to create and show stories that engage and link with the audience these are the briefs that I found the best fitting: Documentary short movie music video
AS evaluation
S ynopsis My AS production was a opening sequence of a movie. the production itself showed the daily routine of a mentally ill man. the man struggle to grip reality and sometime unable to distinguish for his own nightmarish imagination. Furthermore as the day goes on his condition worsens and issues arise . E valuation (positives and negatives) for my AS production I believe that the story portrayed was told well. The story was very secretive with mysteries surrounding it. This was my intention as it enable the audience to speculate and create theories about the surrounding mysteries. I also believe that the editing of the production was good, as it fitted he mood and atmosphere of the story. However the mise-en-scene in production leaves much to be desired. For example, the costumes were generic, the set and what was in the shots was occasionally bland or out of place. Moreover some of the shots where not as good as they could of been, i.e. the pan shot was too q...
